By accessing or using Applyed ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Applyed is a job application tracking and management platform that helps users organize their job search, track applications, manage resumes and cover letters, and receive AI-powered suggestions for career materials.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

User Content

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload to the Service, including resumes, cover letters, job application data, and notes.

License to Us

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes using AI services to generate suggestions when you request them.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. We do not review all user content and are not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or appropriateness.

AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI (OpenAI) to provide suggestions for resumes and cover letters. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI suggestions are provided "as is" without warranties
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or effectiveness of AI suggestions
  • You should not rely solely on AI suggestions for important career decisions

API and Browser Extension

If you use our API or browser extension, you agree to use it only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms. API abuse or excessive usage may result in rate limiting or account suspension.

Payment Terms

If we introduce paid features in the future, additional payment terms will apply. You will be notified of any pricing changes in advance.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and trademarks, is owned by Applyed and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time from the Settings page.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPLYED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Applyed harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Applyed operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
